Three Hours Before Departure — Your Bali Hotel Doorstep
Your driver messages the evening before with a confirmed pickup time built around live traffic patterns, not guesswork; a Canggu departure on a school morning is planned differently from an Uluwatu one on a Sunday. Luggage goes in whole — we will have advised you at booking how the flight’s baggage allowance maps onto what you intend to bring, so nothing is repacked at a check-in desk.
At Ngurah Rai — Fast-Track Through DPS
The fast-track officer is waiting at the kerb when the car door opens. Porterage, priority check-in, the security lane and the walk to the lounge happen in one unbroken movement, usually inside twenty minutes. You hold a coffee; the officer holds the boarding passes, and comes to collect you when it is time to board.
In the Air — 75 Minutes to Another Indonesia
Direct flights to Sumba from Bali run daily and take about an hour and fifteen minutes, most of it over open water. The descent is the moment guests remember: Bali’s density gives way to an island twice its size with a fraction of its people, ridgelines of savannah, empty reef-fringed coast and almost no rooftops. Few borders in Asia are crossed this quickly or this completely.
On Arrival — Tambolaka or Waingapu, Met and Moving
Our Sumba team is inside the terminal before you are, name board raised, luggage claimed on your behalf. The SUV is parked in shade with the cooler already iced. Tambolaka or Waingapu: Which Airport Should You Fly Into?
Sumba has two commercial airports, and the choice shapes your whole itinerary.
