Sumba Trip Package Luxury: 3 to 8 Days at Top Resorts

A Sumba trip package luxury itinerary from Luxury Sumba runs 3 to 8 days, pairs a private car, driver and guide with a stay at Nihi Sumba, Lelewatu, Cap Karoso or Maringi, and is priced by Indonesia Juara Trip: Sumba Private Trip 4D3N costs USD 390–700 per person depending on group size (USD 700 for 2 pax, USD 390 for 8 pax), in a table labelled 2025. Twin-share hotel is included, as listed on Indonesia Juara Trip (checked 2026-09-16). Longer durations and resort upgrades are quoted separately and confirmed on request.

This page is the umbrella for the whole ladder: six durations, four resort names, one operator desk. The 4D3N, 5D4N and 6D5N itineraries have their own detailed pages, so the rows below link through rather than repeat them; 3D2N, 7D6N and 8D7N cover the short-break and cross-island ends.

Luxury Sumba is operated by Indonesia Juara Trip and published by Juara Holding Group. The resorts named here are accommodation options the team books on your behalf, not partners, and every stay is subject to availability confirmation.

Which Sumba trip package luxury duration fits your dates?

Sumba is larger than Bali and the roads between regencies are slow. That one fact shapes the ladder: three- and four-day trips stay on one side of the island, five and six days add a second region, and only seven or eight days cross from Tambolaka (TMC) in the west to Waingapu (WGP) in the east.

Published figures come from the Sumba trip cost page and move with party size. The team confirms your figure on the written quote once party size, vehicle class and add-ons are known, and no total is printed anywhere on this site; totals come from the reservations team in writing.

Region shorthand: Sumba Barat is Waikabubak, Wanokaka, Marosi, Kerewei and Lapopu; Sumba Barat Daya is Kodi, Ratenggaro, Weekuri and Mandorak; Sumba Tengah is megalithic villages and Matayangu; Sumba Timur is Waingapu, Walakiri, Wairinding, Tanggedu and Puru Kambera.

Which luxury resort should anchor the package?

All four resort names sit in West or Southwest Sumba, so every itinerary of six days or fewer is built around the TMC gateway. Locations and transfer times follow the verified notes of 15 September 2026; road conditions change with the rains, so treat minutes as indicative.

How does booking work with Indonesia Juara Trip?

Three steps. The written quote is the only document that carries a total.

  1. Choose the duration. Pick a row from the ladder. 4D3N, 5D4N and 6D5N carry published land tiers; 3D2N, 7D6N and 8D7N are priced on request because routing and vehicle days vary more.
  2. Choose the resort tier. Nihi Sumba, Cap Karoso, Lelewatu, Maringi or a boutique villa. State room category and whether children travel; Nihi offers in-villa childcare by arrangement and Lelewatu offers babysitting.
  3. Request the confirmed quote. Send dates, party size and preferred resort. The team replies with the land tier, a separate resort quote for your exact dates and a day-by-day draft. Nothing is fixed until you approve it in writing.

> WhatsApp (https://wa.me/628119941919) or email [sales@indonesiajuara.asia](mailto:sales@indonesiajuara.asia). One message with dates, party size and resort preference is enough to start. Land tiers are as of 2026 and subject to change; resort rates are confirmed per stay.

When is the best window for a luxury Sumba package?

Demand peaks in July-August and late December; February-June is the softer window for Nihi rates. The resort calendars set the tone:

  • Nihi Sumba 2026: green season 12 January-31 March; high season 1 April-30 June, 1 September-31 October and 21-28 December; peak 1 July-31 August and 29 December 2026-7 January 2027.
  • Cap Karoso: a promotional window runs 13 October 2025-31 March 2027 according to Mr & Mrs Smith, with certain deals tied to a three-night minimum.

Two rules apply on every date. Adat village visits assume a licensed local host, set photography hours and drone restrictions. A per-stay conservation pass circulated in mid-2026 as a 2027 proposal; it is not law, and IJT flags it on your quote only if enacted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the luxury Sumba package priced land-only instead of as one total?

Because resort rates move by season, room category and promotion far faster than land costs do. Nihi alone has three rate bands across its 2026 calendar and a 21 percent tax and service charge on top. Printing one total would be wrong within weeks. IJT quotes the land tier and the resort separately, then confirms the combined figure in writing for your exact dates.

Can a luxury Sumba package split nights between two resorts?

Yes, from 5D4N upward. A common split is Cap Karoso in Kodi for the Southwest beaches and Ratenggaro, then Nihi Sumba or Lelewatu in Wanokaka for West Sumba. Both regencies sit within about 1-1.5 hours of TMC by road. On 7D6N and 8D7N cross-island routes the second stay is usually a boutique property near Waingapu, quoted on request.

How early should a July or August luxury Sumba package be booked?

Treat July-August as peak: it is Nihi’s highest 2026 rate band and the island’s period of highest demand. Some Cap Karoso offers also require a three-night minimum. For a specific villa category in those months, open the conversation with IJT several months ahead; for shoulder months such as May or September, lead times are shorter.

Does the package price include the Bali to Tambolaka flight?

No. The land tiers cover ground services on Sumba only. Bali (DPS) to Tambolaka (TMC) is a daily domestic sector of roughly 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, and Waingapu (WGP) serves the east. Schedules change, so IJT confirms the sector and timing at quote stage; ask then if you want flights handled on the same booking.
