Luxury Sumba All Inclusive: One Quote, Resort + Touring

The closest thing to a luxury Sumba all-inclusive is a two-layer quote: the resort’s board plan (full board or all-inclusive where one is published, room-only where it is not) plus Indonesia Juara Trip’s land-only layer of airport transfers, private driver-guide, touring car and entrance fees. You receive one quote, with resort tax and service shown separately, as of 2026.

Sumba does not sell wristband holidays. Here is how we fold resort, transfers and touring into one number.

Why is there no true all-inclusive resort in Sumba?

The luxury tier is small and spread across two regencies. Nihi Sumba sits at Hoba Wawi in Wanokaka, West Sumba. Lelewatu is also in Wanokaka, about 63 km from Tambolaka airport. Cap Karoso is on Karoso Beach in Kodi, Southwest Sumba, roughly 50 minutes from the same airport by the resort’s own estimate. Maringi is the eco-oriented boutique tier, priced below Nihi.

Each publishes a rate, not a holiday. Nihi’s 2026 accommodation rates are quoted before a 21 percent government tax and service charge.

None of those rates puts you in Ratenggaro at golden hour or under Lapopu waterfall with a licensed local host. That layer is ours, quoted land-only so the resort line never hides inside a bundled total.

Which package variants can be quoted all-in?

The figures below are the prices published on our Sumba trip cost page; Indonesia Juara Trip’s published Sumba private trip price varies by group size and includes twin-share hotel on its own standard itinerary, so a luxury resort stay is always quoted as its own line. We never print the two added together, because the resort side moves with season and villa category.

Two cautions. Sumba is larger than Bali with rough roads, so three or four nights stay on one side. East Sumba’s accommodation sits a step below the west-coast resorts; we name the property before you pay.

Is all-inclusive cheaper than room-only plus touring?

Usually not cheaper. Cleaner. Three ways guests actually buy Sumba:

The IJT price does not change with the resort you pick; the resort moves the total. Room and villa rates at Lelewatu, Cap Karoso and Nihi are quoted on request for your dates, nights and category, and confirmed by each property. Availability is subject to confirmation.

What stays on the resort’s bill, and why?

We could bundle spa credits and horse rides and mark them up. We do not; the resort prices and delivers them, so you would pay our margin for nothing. How does the one-quote booking work?

We check resort availability and the board basis published for your dates.
Within one working day: one quote with resort line, tax and service, land-only tier, optional DPS to TMC flights.
Confirm with a deposit; resort terms govern cancellation on their line, ours on the touring line.
Two weeks out you get the day-by-day plan, driver-guide name and village host arrangements.
Meet at Tambolaka. Everything after the arrivals hall is on us.

Which season changes the quote most?

Nihi’s 2026 calendar sets the west-coast rhythm. Green season runs 12 January to 31 March; high season 1 April to 30 June, 1 September to 31 October and 21 to 28 December; peak 1 July to 31 August and 29 December 2026 to 7 January 2027. Which Sumba resort actually offers an all-inclusive rate?

None of the four luxury properties sells a Caribbean-style all-inclusive as of 2026. Each publishes a board basis, room-only, breakfast or fuller plans on selected offers, and bills spa, horses and drinks separately. What guests call a Sumba all-inclusive is that board plan plus an operator’s transfers and touring, which is how we quote it.

Does a luxury Sumba all-inclusive quote cover the 21 percent tax and service?

Yes, as its own line. Nihi Sumba states that published 2026 rates exclude a 21 percent government tax and service charge, and we show it in the quote rather than hiding it in a total. Other resorts have their own percentages, confirmed at quote stage. Our land-only touring tier is quoted per person as published.

Is a Sumba all-inclusive package cheaper than room-only plus touring?

Rarely. The resort rate is the same whether you book direct or through us, and our quoted land-only tier replaces a self-arranged car plus cash fees. You pay for a driver-guide, village hosts and one accountable thread, not a discount.

Can Bali and Sumba be combined in one all-inclusive quote?

Yes. We add the DPS to TMC flight at cost, a Bali airport transfer and, if wanted, a Bali hotel night before the morning departure. The Sumba touring tier stays as published and the Bali element is itemised the same way. Seven and eight day combinations are quoted on request.
