Which villa sleeps eleven members of one family across three generations without anyone drawing the short straw? How do you stage a proposal on a clifftop where the onshore wind arrives, reliably, at four?

How the Design Process Works
We keep the process to four steps, and it opens with three questions: where, what, and when. Where do you imagine yourselves — clifftop, savanna, beachfront, or all three? What should the days hold — culture, surf, wellness, photography, nothing at all? When can you travel, and how firmly? Answer each in a sentence over WhatsApp and Rama takes it from there.
Step 1 — The Discovery Call
A thirty-to-forty-five-minute conversation, scheduled across time zones within a day of your first message. Rama asks about pace and occasion, about journeys you have loved and journeys that disappointed, about who is traveling and what a perfect afternoon looks like to each of them. Expect candor in return: February can interrupt a beach picnic with rain, the drive to East Sumba’s savanna is long, and some experiences are worth reshaping a whole journey around while others are not.
Step 2 — A Draft Itinerary Within 48 Hours
Within two days you receive a day-by-day draft: the resort or villa for each night and the reasoning behind it, drive times honest to the minute, the experiences we propose and the ones we deliberately left out. Where published from-prices exist, they are stated plainly; where pricing is on request, we say so rather than guessing. It reads like a working document, because it is one.
Step 3 — Refinement
Most journeys settle after two or three revisions. Nights move between west and east, a village visit becomes a weaving morning, a second resort is added or struck. While you decide, we hold provisional space wherever the properties allow it — allocation at the island’s best-known addresses is genuinely limited in high season, and holding it early is half the craft.
Step 4 — Concierge Handover
Once you confirm, your file moves to our concierge desk — same company, same people, no re-briefing. From that moment you have one WhatsApp thread that answers on WITA time around the clock: dinner reservations, flight watch on the daily DPS–Tambolaka services (about 1h15m in the air), weather calls the evening before a shoot, a driver repositioned because the light is better at a different beach. Nihi Sumba starts from around USD 1,000 per night at published seasonal rates, with the top villas higher. On the Bali side, private touring runs from USD 250 per day, VIP fast-track at DPS from USD 160, and helicopter experiences from USD 690.
