Cap Karoso is the work of owners who spent years assembling a site beside a Kodi fishing village, then gave Jakarta’s Bitte Design Studio room to do something genuinely Indonesian with it: 47 rooms and 20 one- to three-bedroom pool villas in board-formed concrete and timber, softened everywhere with textiles commissioned from local weavers. Day 1 — Bali to Karoso Beach
Our driver collects you from your Bali hotel three hours before the morning Tambolaka flight; fast-track handling moves you through Denpasar without a queue. Wheels down in Sumba by late morning, met as you exit the terminal, then west through Kodi’s peaked-roof villages. Check-in, a long lunch at Julang, a first swim, and a sunset that faces exactly the right way — Karoso Beach looks due west.
Day 2 — The Farm and the Chef’s Table
